Business Developer for Staffing and Scheduling

Växjö Municipality is Kronoberg's largest employer, working every day, year-round, for our residents, businesses, and visitors. Together, we create a sustainable tomorrow and an attractive municipality to live, work, and thrive in – today and in the future. This means a job where we challenge ourselves to think innovatively, learn, and develop together. Do you want to be part of a larger context where you can truly make a difference? Welcome to Växjö Municipality!

We are now looking for someone who wants to work with us to drive the development and ensure effective and sustainable staffing and scheduling planning within care and support.

The Care Administration faces important and long-term challenges related to demographic development, skills supply, and the demands of being an attractive employer. To meet these challenges, we need to work more structured, coordinated, and sustainably with our resources – with a clear focus on operational benefit, quality, and a good work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a business developer for staffing and scheduling, you will be part of our development department, a dynamic and competent group of 16 people with various roles in business development, system management, and administration. This is a key role at the intersection of operations, HR, and system support, with a clear focus on development, competence, analysis, and improvement. You will drive and coordinate the overall development work within staffing and scheduling for the care administration's operations, home care, special housing, and care for people with disabilities. All in close collaboration with HR, payroll unit, system management, and the operations.

Your work will involve developing and refining the scheduling process from analysis of staffing requirements to finished schedules, with the goal of ensuring that the operations have well-functioning schedules that comply with laws, regulations, agreements, and our staffing handbook. You will serve as a qualified support to unit managers, coordinators, and schedule planners in their daily work, contributing structure, methodology, and expertise based on evidence, experience, and shared working methods.

An important part of the assignment is to build competence and consensus within the organization. You will lead forums, create networks, and develop learning environments that strengthen the administration's overall capacity in staffing and scheduling. This includes planning and implementing training and development initiatives that contribute to increased understanding, quality, and a holistic perspective on scheduling in the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for employment, you need to provide an extract from the police criminal record for verification of your own information in the criminal record (442.3) according to § 9, first paragraph. You can order the extract from the criminal record at https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/)

We are looking for someone with a relevant post-secondary education, preferably with a focus on HR, personnel or organizational development, and economics. Alternatively, you may have other education that the employer deems suitable in combination with several years of experience in the field. You have documented experience in staffing and scheduling in operations with irregular working hours, preferably within care and support, as well as experience in driving development or change work, for example, when implementing new working methods, processes, and routines.

You have good knowledge of working time legislation, collective agreements, and working time models and work evidence-based with an understanding of the connections between staffing, quality, economy, and work environment in the operations. It is an advantage if you have experience with staffing and scheduling systems such as Time Care Planning, Lifecare Planning, or AI in scheduling work.

To succeed in this role, you are structured and goal-oriented with the ability to plan, follow up, and drive development processes both in the short and long term. You are development-oriented and analytical, see the whole and connections, and translate insights and data into concrete improvements that create operational benefits.

You are pedagogical and inspiring, with an easy way to explain complex issues understandably, share knowledge, and create engagement among managers and employees. At the same time, you are confident and communicative, with a very good ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in speech and writing in Swedish, which helps you build trust and clarity even in change and development issues. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

Visits to the operations are common, so a B driver's license is desirable.
